This was my entry into this years’ Guardian/ Jonathan Cape short story prize.

I just completed a film review. In comic strip format no less. A first for me!

Another sample panel from the just completed strip. I managed to have a dude sea kayaking. My mate Andy has a sea kayak in his kitchen. Just sayin’.

Those simple wee thumbnails did the job. Four page strip drawn and coloured. That’s a sample panel.

Sat in Southampton airport awaiting a delayed flight. I had a beer and produced this ‘script’ for my new 4 page story.

There was a day when I would have considered even this level of planning a bit restrictive!
